Jerry O'Connell and Hettienne Park will join previously announced cast members Alan Rickman, Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater in Theresa Rebeck's world premiere play, Seminar. Directed by Sam Gold, performances begin on October 27 at the Golden Theatre, with opening night set for November 20.
Seminar follows four young writers participating in a private seminar taught by literary icon Leonard (Rickman). Tensions arise during the seminar when Leonard deems certain students more promising than others. Rabe and Linklater will play two of the aspiring novelists taking part in the class.
The play marks marks the Broadway debut of O'Connell. He is best known for films such as Stand By Me, Jerry Maguire and Scream 2. His other film and TV credits include The Defenders, Crossing Jordan, Yours Mine & Ours, The '60s, Can't Hardly Wait, Man About Town and Sliders.
Park, who will also make her Broadway debut, recently appeared in off-Broadway's The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures. Her film and TV work includes Bride Wires, Year of the Fish, Mercy, The Good Wife and Damages.
